Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue
Fibromyalgia is another 'garbage can diagnosis', and the term really means very little. Technically, fibromyalgia means soreness of the muscles (myalgia) and other soft tissues (fibro, i.e. for "fibrous"). Physicians categorize individuals under this heading when they don't know what else to do.
No one seems to know what causes this condition, but the latest evidence points to immune breakdown due to infection, the likely culprits being mold, parasites and mycoplasma (tuberculosis). Other major causes include chemical toxicity, heavy metal poisoning, candida yeast infection, bowel toxicity, and parasitic infestation. Certainly severe stress aggravates it. Thus, individuals with fibromyalgia may also suffer from 'adrenal weakness' causing a great deal of fatigue.Food allergies may also play a role. In particular, the major issue is allergic intolerance to grains. Poor diet is the number one cause. In this respect, food allergy is the major culprit. People with fibromyalgia are commonly allergic to grains, legumes, citrus, yeast, MSG, sulfites, cocoa, and milk products. There may be other provocative foods, including nuts, fruit, vegetables, eggs, and meats.
Very few physicians suspect, believe or recognize, classic symptoms of parasitic infection. Even if the medical ilk are aware of the threat, most use outdated and inadequate testing procedures and underdiagnose the condition. Because of their 'ignorance to the facts' most physicians do not believe that parasites/candida/mold, can, or will cause any serious health problems.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
These syndromes are more correctly described as symptoms of diseases rather than diseases themselves.
In fact, both chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia were coined by the medical profession as another 'garbage can diagnoses'.
For instance there is no such thing as a syndrome of fatigue. Fatigue is merely a symptom, a warning sign that the function of the human body has gone awry. The key to curing fatigue, as well as the chronic fatigue syndrome is to determine the precise cause of the fatigue or associated symptoms. What is chronic fatigue? It is merely a lack of energy in the body, organs, and cells. A lack of energy, whether physical or mental, can only be due to a deficiency, and the only substances which our bodies could be deficient in are nutrients. Alternatively, the body can be poisoned, and that will cause fatigue. Even so, poisoning causes fatigue by inducing nutritional deficiency.
The primary cause of chronic fatigue is adrenal insufficiency. The result of this condition is that the adrenal glands fail to produce sufficient quantities of critical steroid hormones. Chronic Fatigue is also a warning sign of yet another potentially dangerous condition: chronic infection. Adrenal insufficiency leaves the body vulnerable to the development of a wide range of infections. In other words, when the adrenal glands fail, the immune system becomes dysfunctional. Yeast and other fungal infections are particularly common. It's readily known that parasites secrete toxins, which cause a great deal of musculoskeletal pain. Parasitic infection may also take its toll, and individuals with the syndrome are readily infected by organisms such as Giardia, Cryptosporidium, flukes, tapeworm, and amebas. The problem is when the adrenally wakened individual is exposed to a noxious microbe, the microbe easily evades the immune defenses and gains a foothold in the body, leading to persistent infection. In other words, the organism readily finds a home in the individual with weak adrenal glands. These microbes sap the individual of all energy reserves. Obviously the infective organism must be destroyed before the fatigue can be eliminated.
Chronic fatigue may also be caused by nutritional deficiencies. Recently, researchers discovered a connection between salt and chronic fatigue. They routinely measured a deficiency of sodium and chloride in the blood of individuals suffering with the syndrome. When salt was administered the patients' symptoms, which included fatigue, muscular weakness, mental disturbances, lightheadedness, and low blood pressure, improved dramatically.
The bottom line is, nobody needs to suffer with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue symptoms. The simple key is to go after the CAUSE. Once you eliminate the CAUSE then you won't have the SYMPTOMS anymore.
